As she snuggles into her bed with Cinnamon Bear and her blanket, Hug, Emily is all ready to drift off. A shooting star flashes in the night sky, and as she falls asleep, a starbeam comes knocking on her bedroom window.
What could it be? As Emily grabs onto it, she and her bedtime companions are swept away into the night sky. Together they roll up the wandering beam, finally ending up at its end.

The illustrations are a combination of sketches paired with a little girl, sometimes being mischievous and definitely enjoying her childhood. Purchase this book and prepare to hear giggles from your children as well as yourself.

imageThe book opens with a scripture from Ephesians 3:17-19, "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Readers will meet a little boy filled with wonder about how much God loves him.  The whimsical imagery will surely capture a child’s imagination.  It’s so important early in life to develop good self-esteem in a child –that is not self-centered, but God-centered. This book provides a great tool for parents and caregivers to use as they shape a young mind to understanding the depth of God’s love.
